      • containment requires contents of tissue culture room not escape to adjacent work areas
      • asepsis requires none of contamination of surrounding areas enter tissue culture
  • Equipment
    • sterile handling→BSC, laminar flow, pipette, inverted microscope, centrifuge, cell counter
    • incubation: CO2 incubator
    • prep: washup facilities, water purifier, balancer, magnetic stirrer, pH meter
    • sterilization: oven, autoclave
    • storage area: fridge, freezer, N2
